Tagging and searching for content
Tags are a way of adding search/reporting terms to content. They allow users to find content quicker and easier.
Adding/editing ‘Tags’ to assets
- Select an asset by clicking on it’s thumbnail.
- In the ‘Tags’ section, click on the tag category you wish to add or edit.
- In the popup window, select the ‘Tags’ which apply to that asset.
- To remove a Tag, just untick it.
- Click ‘Save’.
- The tags selected are now saved to the asset and available for searching and filtering.
Searching for content
There are multiple search options in the Library which can be used in isolation or together to allow greater filtering of results.
General/Quick searching
- To run a simple quick search, type your search criteria in the search bar in the left navigation and hit ‘Enter’ or click ‘Apply filter’.
- Your search results will be displayed with a note to how many assets match your criteria.
Advanced searching
- In the left navigation of the ‘Library’ you will see a number of filters and search options.
- Open the relevant category you want to search or filter by and select or enter a value.
- Build your search options as required using:
- Asset type – The category of asset
- Tag categories – Structured taxonomy per category
- Spaces – The various spaces where assets have been published
- Owner – The owner of the asset
- Dates – The dates the asset was added
- Embedded metadata – XMP/EXIF data extracted from the files themselves
- Click ‘Apply’ to run your search.
- Your search results will be displayed with a note to how many assets match your criteria.
