Creating deliverables
Once a project has been created, the next key task will be to create deliverables. A deliverable defines the specific set of requirements including technical specifications, delivery methods and outputs – as well as line items and task assignments.
Creating a new deliverable
- From the ‘Deliverables’ tab, click ‘New deliverable‘
- Confirm the ‘Owning agency’ (who will be billing the work) and ‘Producing agency’ (who will be doing the work)
- Add a ‘Title’ which best identifies the deliverable as well as an ‘External reference’ if required
- Select a ‘Type’ that aligns with the type of work being undertaken as well as ‘Job category’ if applicable
- Set the approproate ‘Status’ and ‘Workflow status’
- In addition to this, a ‘Language’ and ‘Destination country’ can be set
- Use the ‘Details’ section within the ‘Requirements’ section to provide further details pertaining to the brief to the resource(s) who will pick up the deliverable
- Finally, set the ‘Key dates’ and ‘People’ as appropriate; then click ‘Save’
Creating a deliverable from a template
- From the ‘Deliverables’ tab, select ‘Actions’ then ‘Apply template’
- Select the ‘Agency‘ and click ‘Next’ to view the list of available templates
- The selected ‘Agency‘ will be set as both the Owning and Producing agency
- Clicking ‘Apply’ will create a new deliverable based on the selected template, defining core fields within the ‘General information’, ‘Key dates’ and ‘Line items’
- Review these details and make the appropriate adjustments
