Creating a project or campaign

  1. Navigate to ‘Planning’ and select an option from the list (Activities, Campaigns, Projects) and select ‘New...’
  2. • Click the ‘Business Area’ field and select the appropriate business area from the hierarchy provided and click ‘Apply’.
    • Enter a title e.g., ‘December end of year project’.
    • Enter any relevant information, for example, client’s PO number or ref number in the ‘External Reference’ field provided
    • Set the relevant ‘Status’ and ‘RAG status’.
    • Enter a ‘Description’ if required.

If you have come straight from converting a brief, you won’t need to do most of this and can just check if anything needs to be update.

Tracking your project is key to ensuring you meet all the dates set. Below is the description of the useful status you can select.

  • To do - Use this status if work has not started on the project
  • In progress - Use this status when the job is being worked on.
  • On hold - Use this status if there is a delay to the project.
  • Delivered - The 'Delivered' project status allows account/project managers to confirm delivery of the project. This status should be used before the project is marked as complete, so that you can track delivery against the project deadline, but still enable team members to complete timesheets and finalise any financial activities, before marking the project as Complete. In the project detail view, when a project has been delivered you will see a 'Delivered' date/time in the Key dates panel.

STATUS:

  • Complete - Use this status when the project has been built and invoiced (no further time can be logged against the project once this status is selected).
  • Client delivery confirmed - If you need to send the client a survey or gather feedback about the project once it has been completed, use this status.
  • Cancelled - If the project is no longer needed by the client (no further time can be logged against the project once this status is selected).
