# Tagging and searching for content

Tags are a way of adding search/reporting terms to content. They allow users to find content quicker and easier.

### **Adding/editing ‘Tags’ to assets**

- Select an asset by clicking on it’s thumbnail.
- In the **‘Tags’** section, click on the tag category you wish to add or edit.
- In the popup window, select the **‘Tags’** which apply to that asset.
- To remove a **Tag**, just untick it.
- Click **‘Save’**.
- The tags selected are now saved to the asset and available for searching and filtering.

### **Searching for content**

There are multiple search options in the Library which can be used in isolation or together to allow greater filtering of results.

### **General/Quick searching**

- To run a simple quick search, type your search criteria in the search bar in the left navigation and hit **‘Enter’** or click **‘Apply filter’**.
- Your search results will be displayed with a note to how many assets match your criteria.

### **Advanced searching**

- In the left navigation of the **‘Library’** you will see a number of filters and search options.
